Have any summer plans? How about hanging out at the bank instead of the beach? May not sound appealing…but a couple of hours spent at OneUnited Bank can change your life!
From June until August 26, 2014, OneUnited Bank is holding workshops in its branches in California, Florida and Massachusetts. And the June workshops have already received rave reviews!
Our summer Smart Money Credit Workshop series, presented by OneUnited managers, focuses on providing individuals with practical information on how to manage their finances. Topics covered during the two-hour workshops include:
- Credit-building Strategies
- What to Look for in your Credit Report
- How Lenders Make Decisions Based off of Credit History
Those who attend a workshop are able to create a plan of action with the help of OneUnited managers, and learn tools that will enable them to achieve that plan of financial stability.
The summer series is being held in OneUnited Bank’s California, Florida and Massachusetts branches including Compton, Crenshaw, Ladera, Pasadena, Stocker, Miami, Roxbury and Grove Hall. You can find specific dates, times and branch locations for the workshop closest to you here.
Our summer workshop series is yet another way OneUnited is helping to improve financial literacy in urban communities. OneUnited launched the UNITY Visa secured credit card several months ago to give those with less-than-stellar credit histories the chance to build and improve their credit without a bevy of fees.
The Smart Money Credit Workshops are free to the public, and we encourage all who can and want to improve their financial IQ to attend. We promise it will be two hours well spent – leaving you with plenty of time, and perhaps more finances, to enjoy other fun summer activities…including the beach… too.
