In addition to being an award-winning Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and having been awarded the highest Bank Enterprise Award by the U.S. Department of Treasury for our community development lending more than ten times, we have financed almost $1 billion in loans – most in low to moderate income communities such as South Central, Compton, Liberty City and Roxbury. However, we’ve never participated in subprime lending, and have always maintained strong credit criteria.
