OneUnited Bank Presents From Tax Refund to Homeownership Homebuyers Fair Saturday February 29th, 2020

Miami, FL – January 29, 2020 – Once again, OneUnited Bank, the largest Black bank in the country, is focused on closing the racial wealth gap by offering tangible solutions like the From Tax Refund to Homeownership Fair on Saturday February 29, 2020, 12-5 pm being held at the OneUnited Bank Miami Branch located at 3275 N.W 79th Street, Miami, Fl., 33147 in Liberty City.

For most Americans, building generational wealth depends on homeownership and the equity it builds for the next generation. According to the Urban Institute the current 30% point gap between black and white homeownership is larger than it was in 1968, when housing discrimination was legal.

“We’re only one transaction away from closing the racial wealth gap!”, says Teri Williams, President & COO of OneUnited Bank. “For many of us, that one transaction is home ownership!”

The Homebuyers Fair will feature all the services needed to purchase a home, including information on down payment assistance programs, or to refinance an existing home loan for home improvements, investments or for better rate and terms. And with the bank’s new Breeze Through 2020 Home Loan Program, appraisal and credit report fees for purchases or refinances are paid for by OneUnited Bank. The event is timely as tax season is here and the experts at OneUnited can explain how to turn a tax refund into homeownership! The community is urged to come out and speak with industry professionals who will offer valuable information including how to qualify for Miami’s down payment assistance programs and participate in the Liberty City Homeownership Club.
