Customer-focused Innovations

  • We continued to integrate our revolutionary AI-driven financial wellness solution, WiseOne™ Insights, further helping our customers with personalized tools to guide, inform, and protect their finances.
  • Partnering with Google, we enhanced our technology platform to improve our customer’s digital experience and deliver timely, personalized financial insights. All making banking easier and more intuitive for you!
  • Through our CashPlease program, we originated nearly 3,000 small-dollar financial emergency loans, helping low-to-moderate income customers avoid the high costs of payday loans.
  • This year marked the introduction of our Financial Wellness Benefits Program, empowering employers to support their teams with rewards for savings, enhanced financial literacy, and a safety net for financial emergencies.

Continuing Our Impact

  • We launched the Lift Up program in partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston, offering up to $50,000 in down payment assistance to first-time homebuyers in Boston, Los Angeles, and Miami.
  • As a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), we continued to prioritize affordable housing. Over 60% of our rental housing loans supported low-to-moderate income minority communities, sustaining $0 loan losses for over 12 years.
  • Our mission-driven deposits grew by $80 million, allowing us to fund even more affordable loans.
  • Advocating for generational wealth, we promoted financial literacy in schools and beyond, generating over 100 article features and 3 billion+ media impressions on financial education initiatives.

This year, we were proud to be named to Inc.’s 2024 Best in Business list for financial services, honoring companies that achieve significant, industry-defining accomplishments.

Additionally, we maintained stellar customer service ratings, including a 4.38 score on BBB and 4.5 on TrustPilot, a reflection of our commitment to putting you—our customers—first.

In 2025, we will continue leading the charge in financial wellness, unveiling new tools and initiatives designed to empower you and your families even further.

Stay tuned for an exciting year ahead!

OneUnited Bank is sponsoring the 14th annual financial literacy contest for youth between the ages of 8 – 12 years old. Simply either write and submit a 250-word essay (250 words not 250 characters) or create and submit an art project (PDF only) about what you learned from the book “I Got Bank!” (or from another financial literacy book available in your library or home) and how you can use what you learned in your life or the life of your family.

A mature man with a bald head and a salt-and-pepper beard, wearing glasses and a light-colored button-down shirt, intently examines a piece of paper in his hands. He's seated at a table next to a mature woman with shoulder-length blonde hair and a light blue shirt. She looks thoughtfully at a laptop screen that is partially visible in the foreground. They appear to be in a kitchen setting, with a stainless steel range hood visible in the background. The overall impression is one of focused concentration as they review documents or information together.
