Answer: No. OneUnited Bank does not offer ALL the services needed to achieve your one transaction. OneUnited Bank is not a financial advisor and recommends you discuss your one transaction with your family and a financial advisor. OneUnited Bank does offer an automatic savings plan, a secured credit card to help you rebuild credit and home loans in the Boston, Miami and Los Angeles areas. We also provide Action Steps to guide you on your journey to create generational wealth.
Answer: In 2020, America was forced to recognize the impact of systemic racism, and the resulting racial wealth gap. According to Brookings, the net worth of a Black family is $17,150 compared to $171,000 for a white family. While public policy is critical to addressing the consequences of discrimination, public policy moves slowly. In addition to voting to change public policy, OneUnited Bank encourages you to claim One Transaction in 2021 that will create generational wealth for your family. The reality is the racial wealth gap for each family can be closed by one strategic transaction. That transaction could be a will, life insurance, home ownership, a profitable business, automatic savings, investments or an improved credit score.
