Question:What is a Digital Wallet?

Answer: Digital Wallet is a service such as Apple Pay, Google Wallet, Samsung Pay or Android Pay that allows you to make electronic purchases using your cell phone or tablet. Please visit www.oneunited.com/disclosures to review the Digital Wallet Disclosure.

 


Question: How do I set it up a Digital Wallet?

Answer: Simply download the appropriate Digital Wallet app such as Apple Pay, Google Wallet or Android Pay onto your smart phone or tablet and follow their instructions to enroll. You will be prompted for a one-time entry of a few account details such as name, address, card number, expiration date, and the three digit card verification value that can be found on the back of your card. Apple Pay, Google Wallet or Android Pay along with Visa and OneUnited Bank will work behind the scenes to set up your Digital Wallet so that you can make payments. This process, which includes confirming your identity, may take some time, so please be patient.

 


Question: My smart phone or tablet already has a Digital Wallet. How do I add my OneUnited Bank debit or credit card?

Answer: You have the option to add other accounts to your Digital Wallet and will be prompted for a one-time entry of a few account details such as name, address, card number, expiration date, and the three digit card verification value that can be found on the back of your card. Apple Pay, Google Wallet or Android Pay along with Visa and OneUnited Bank will work behind the scenes to add your OneUnited Bank debit or credit card to your Digital Wallet. This process, which includes confirming your identity, may take some time, so please be patient.

 


Question: How does a Digital Wallet transmit payment details?

Answer: When shopping in-store, simply activate the payment functionality on your Digital Wallet device and hold the device in front of a contactless reader. The digital account information stored on the device will be transmitted directly to that contactless reader and your Visa debit or credit card will be charged.

 


Question: When using a Digital Wallet, are my debit and credit card numbers passed to the merchant?

Answer: No, your credit and debit card numbers are NOT stored on the device. Instead, a virtual account number is used, and passed to the merchant. This helps to reduce the potential for fraud.

 


Question: What if my OneUnited Bank debit or credit card is lost or stolen?

Answer: Call us immediately. For reporting a lost/stolen debit card, call us immediately at 1-877-One-United or 1-877-663-8648, select menu option 2 and follow the prompts. For reporting a lost/stolen UNITY Visa credit card, call us immediately at 1-800-94-UNITY or 1-800-948-6489 and follow the prompts.
Once you receive your replacement card you can add your new card to your Digital Wallet. A card replacement fee may apply.

 


Question: What if my Digital Wallet device is lost or stolen?

Answer: If your Digital Wallet device is lost or stolen, your debit or credit card may be accessed for unauthorized transactions. Call us immediately. For a debit card, call us immediately at 1-877-One-United or 1-877-663-8648, select menu option 2 and follow the prompts. For UNITY Visa credit card, call us immediately at 1-800-94-UNITY or 1-800-948-6489 and follow the prompts. (For Apple Pay, consider using “Find My Apple Device” or for Samsung Pay, consider using “Find My Mobile” to quickly suspend or remove your digital account numbers from your device.)
Once you receive your replacement card you can add your new card to your Digital Wallet. A card replacement fee may apply.

 


Question: What should I do when I receive a new, replacement or renewal card?

Answer: For a new or replacement card, you will go through the initial set up of providing the basic payments details to add the card to a Digital Wallet. For a card renewal, the new expiration date will be automatically provided from Visa to the Digital Wallet seamlessly, with no action required by you.

 


Question: What should I do if I sell or give my Digital Wallet device to someone else?

Answer: Make sure you delete all enrolled cards/digital accounts in your Digital Wallet. Alternatively, you may reset your phone to factory settings which will also remove all digital accounts. Please contact us to cancel your card and obtain a new card at any time. A card replacement fee may apply.

 


Question: Is the Digital Wallet service available internationally?

Answer: At this time, most Digital Wallet services, such as Apple Pay, are only available in collaboration with certain U.S. financial institutions. The availability of a Digital Wallet service outside the U.S. will be determined by the service provider. Please note: your OneUnited Bank Visa debit or credit card can be used internationally.

 


Question: Will I continue to earn Purchase Rewards if I use a Digital Wallet?

Answer: Yes. You can continue to earn Purchase Rewards with your digital wallet purchases.
