Question: How does CDARS work?

Answer: OneUnited Bank is a member of a special network. When you place a large amount of money with us we place your funds into CDs issued by other banks in the same network - in increments of less than $100,000 - so that both principal and interest are eligible for complete FDIC protection. As a result, you can receive coverage from many banks while working with just one.

Question: What is the benefit of a CDARS deposit to OneUnited Bank?

Answer: As a nationally recognized CDFI bank, OneUnited invests your deposits back into our community in the form of loans. With the CDARS program, you receive complete FDIC protection for your deposits, while helping to build the economic power of urban communities.
